Naom Chomsky once said: "Propaganda is the democracy what the bludgeon is to a totalitarian state."

The North American Union is part of a plan that has developed over the past 60 years to eventually create a one-world government. There will ultimately be seven "unions" (the European Union, the Asian Union, the African Union, among others) which will then merge into one giant global government.

Americans don't want to be bothered with believing this is happening. We would prefer to believe that Britney Spears is an alcoholic, drug-abusing mother, or Michael Jackson is a pedophile, or some millionaire baseball player used steroids, or our favorite rock star just released a new album with thirteen dirty words in the title.

Americans won't step up an do something because - like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water - we won't start screaming in agony over our own apathy until the water is boiling over. We're too lazy, amoral, arrogant, greedy, and uninformed to get off the sofa, put down the remote and actually demand our Constitutional right to take our country back from the profiteering politicians and bumbling bureaucrats.

One day we will wake up and find that we are, indeed, living in a totalitarian state where our decisions are controlled, speech is monitored, and thoughts are invaded. George Orwell was right - he was just about a century ahead of himself. -RKO- 10/07/07

No. To be perfectly honest, I would have to know a lot more than I do now before I would sign either way. It is my understanding that the issues are seriously clouded by moral and religious reasons. Most people don't want to see fetuses traded on the commodities market to the highest bidder. On the other hand, how moral is it to allow the pain and suffering that could possibly be eliminated by this research? It's complex subject. I just read recently that it may be a non-issue because the cells needed can be removed from living donors with no detrimental effects what so ever. I hope that's true and puts an end to this catch 22 once and for all. It's really frustrating when science and religion clash over something so important.

We can't just blame the American people for what's happening. People become interested in what they see all the time, and when CNN is also reporting on Britney Spear's custody case what do you expect? We only have one more year until Bush is out of office, hopefully the American people will make a smarter descion this time on who we choose to be our leader.

Bush should be ashamed of his term in office. When you are the president of a free country you make descions for that country and they should not be based on your personal beliefs but the beliefs of your people. So what if they go against your religion or personal preference? The good of a nation is bigger than just one person. Sorry just had to vent about an idiot that I didn't vote into office.

We're doing everything we can here too. My husband and I write e-mails and try to inform others, it's really all you can do.
