why do they show kitchens that are like dance halls when most are about 12 x 10 if your lucky.

Coz they can't get 20 technicians, 4 cameras, 3 directors 1 Producer and all the sound equipment in a kitchen the size you mention and that most people have

I agree with Jamand. If you go to DIY to the Rescues site, they have requirements for the room size if you want them to help you fix something. I am enlarging my kitchen presently. It will be 30 x 12 when finished. I tore out a bedroom wall to add space. My kitchen in Florida was 26 x 14 in a mobile home. Only 3' smaller than the livingroom.

Cause us regular people don't live in mansions. We are the working class. Sure, I'd luv to have a commercial type kitchen with the freezer full of steak,shrimp,lobster etc. but that won't happen! Same as the Landscape shows...who among us has $50+ thousand to put into a back yard???
