I got the car used and it doesn't have a manual. I tried to search online for answers on a replacment bulb. Does anyone know how to find out what bulb I need?

Remove the old one, and take it in to the auto parts store and say "I need one of these".

You're going to have to take it out anyway to replace it.

I'm assuming you're meaning licence plate light, If you are then there would be two common options, the first and most common would be a 194 bulb. it is a small bulb thats more of a cylinder with a rounded end, and the glass part of the bulb is also the base of it. The other common bulb used is an 89, this is a round bulb with a metal base that pushes and turns in(about a 1/6 of a turn). Any autoparts store will have a listing of what part of what vehicle takes what bulb. I would be saying the 194 would be the bulb you need as GM has been using that bulb for a lot of the smaller lights for a long time.

Take it to Auto Zone or Advanced auto parts. They can look it up and possibly replace it.
