how do you get rid of flies?

our house is completely closed up but we come in and there hundreds. I am sure they are hatching somewhere (most likely in the heater vents). How isthe best way to get rid of the pests?

Fly ribbons seem to work best where I am. They are not attractive but the results are great. Check window openings for small holes. I have found this is where most the small flys are.

they only hatch and grow in places that have a food source, find the food and remove it! old fruit, dead mice etc.
