Insects are not different from other animals.They move around for food and then when the time comes find mate and mate and then lay eggs and let them develop. They have a life span to cover, unless they come across adverse situation and meet death earlier. In their pursuit for food they may infect or pollinate or spread pathogens.

An animals prime directive is to survive. Some species survival is long enough to reproduce. Reproduction is the second prime directive on insects.
Insects are not living to be entertainment for people, not to be pest and cause harm. Many insects do great good for humans.
It is called Nature. It is too bad we humans have excluded self from the natural course of natural events.
Please, respect all living things. Leave the wild to the wild.
