No - tampons have no say in the matter. Your menstrual blood comes out of the little opening in the cervix which is no bigger than a matchstick head and gets absorbed by the tampon - that is all.

Nothing do with tampon to make slow down during the period.

No, they just absorb your flow before it leaves your body.
