if you listen to ipod headphones at full-blast, by age 25 you'll have the hearing of a 89 year old. (a news special)
and if the sound is at or above 75d., you'll go deaf, and at or above 100, it'll kill you.
the head phones that go over your ears (the cd player ones) protect your ears more, adn are a LOT safer

NO!!!!! I listen to music all day and im not deaf and I have my music blasting loudddd trust meeeeeeeee with ear phones on off my ipod on the television in my car alwayss loadd and I can hear stuff reallll welllll. =D

It`s the very loud playing of the music that can deafen you. It` no different than standing next to a howitzer when it1s fired.

probably. i gave my son an ipod for his b day and there is a control volume setting he doesn't know about.he thinks it's the headphones
