it will not be used in vehicles, but to cut up the metallic objects (electric welding is of no use here) and other light welding purposes (where electric welding will not be needed)

Natural gas oxygen welding can be done. Methane gas from rotting vegetation can't hardly follow cows around and collect there emissions. Cow paddies human waste vegetation mixture in large tank might stink up the place. Making your own flamable gas might also be a problem with Fire Department and City Code Inspector.

I have used propane instead of acetylene gas. Propane will work for welding but it don't do very well when using the cutting torch. Bio gas will probably work as well as propane.

Acetylene burns much hotter than gas in your car, so it would have to be specially reformulated to do this. Not to mention much of welding is already electric.
