If you're serious (Wishing Gate? LOL Really?), I actually like Edna and Una (or Oonagh), and love Norah and Eleanora (slightly prefer the simpler Elinora). Etna is ok, but too associated with the insurance provider -- Aetna -- to be practical. I'd stick with Eithne or Enya, if you really want to use an Anglicized form.

Likewise, although I realize Lettice is an actual name, I'm afraid most will simply see "lettuce." ;) And again ... Wishing Gate? I honestly don't know what to say to that.

Edna, Eleanora, and Norah are nice classic names.

Lettice is a vegetable.
Etna is a health care plan.
Wishing Gate makes your child sound like a crack baby.
Una is just lame.

Edna is nice. It is an old-fashioned name.
Eleanora is lovely. It is also old-fashioned.
Lettice simply reminds me of lettuce. Makes me want a salad. ; )
Norah is nice, but I think Nora is just lovely!
Etna reminds me of Aetna, so I wouldn't choose that for my children.
Wishing Gate is comical.
Una. Why don't you just use the name Unity?

Best wishes to you!

ehh, please do not burden your child with those names. its hard enought to survive childhood without being picked on. the first two names and the forth and fifth sound like something your grandma would be named, they're too old fashioned. the third one seems like you're trying to name your child after lettuce, enough said. and the the last two are just wow. wishing gate? thats not even a name! una, is just horrible. i'm sorry for being harsh, but thats the truth.

They all sound weird! Do you really want to name your child a vegetable or a gate?

But if I would really have to choose, I'd say Edna. Emma is much better though!
