Evolutionary traits of females with better genes and evolutionary changes in reproductive anatomy (hymen) of the females in certain mammal species makes it desirable to hold stuff like “a better mate” or “a better physical readiness” in high regard than the sexual desire.

In the first case, females with better genes managed to produce offspring’s of better genes and better survival capability by with holding sexual desire and waiting until the best available male came along. Those who could not wait that long and held sexual desire in high regard had sex with the first male available and didn’t ensure the “best genes available”

In the second case, evolution made it possible to have some pain and blood shed associated with the removal of hymen in females during first intercourse so that they cannot that easily hold sexual desire in high regard during the teens. It is painful the first time and you will not try painful stuff until you are ready.

well, its both, but of course it would depend on the sexual drive of the individual, and whether your speaking of your own desire for fulfillment or your desire for another.
in the case of desire for another i would say a woman would hold it in high regards, because most women care more about whom they have sex with while most men just want have sex with who isn't so important.

Desire is more masculine to my mind.As is lust.Us females tend to look more towards love, being protected, and cared for. That's just my take on it though, I'm sure plenty would argue I'm wrong.

Sorry but I'd have to say that is an individual value.
