At the moment it seems like Giuliani or Thompson, at least that's what polls and pundits claim. Unfortunately too many Americans have this misguided notion of not "wasting their vote" by voting for someone they are told probably can't win. And so they vote with the herd.It would be better if people actually voted their conscience. I honestly can't see why any Republican or genuine conservative in either party would vote for anyone other than Ron Paul. Check out his history and voting record and then ask yourself if there is any other candidate - Republican or Democrat - who remotely has the integrity of Ron Paul. While I don't agree with all of his ideas and beliefs - He is a man who has served this country with intelligence, compassion and complete reverence for and understanding of our constitution - without looking for personal advantage or gain.

I think Paul is the best speaker out of all. The other candidates just hammer off right wing rhetoric. Paul is humble and intelligent when he answers and he usually winds up defending his statements which the moderators of the debate try to twist.

on the fox debate when that clown said " you think we should take our marching orders from Al queda" Paul said NO. We take our marching orders from the constitution.

That was a prefect example that Paul is usually not treated the same as the other candidates. But he always answers there questions perfectly

Ron Paul shows the most promise.

He is in favor of a strong immigration stance, lowering of taxes, and ending the Iraq war.

All of the other candidates are in favor of amnesty or a fence, not even the Great Wall of China could help. We are in need of cheaper labor, but our welfare system has given an advantage to the illegals. They get way too many things for free (education, health care, etc..), we need to eliminate the freebies and many faults of our policy will go away.

Ron Paul is in favor of fixing many of the faults of the system, we need a major overhaul. Not more of the same, increasing spending or a worsening of the trade deficit. As of now, the Canadian dollar is better then ours for the first time in history, we need a change.

Ron Paul 2008!!

Tokolosh, but Bush isn't a Republican.
He's a mouthpiece for big business.
They got "their guy" in.
Bush is as far away from a Republican as you can get.
For me right now I like Romney and Ron Paul.
You can't argue with Romney's management ability after he turned the Olympics around from disaster!
Plus he's a self-made millionaire with a degree from Harvard.
And Ron Paul is a Constitutionalist, something this country sorely needs.
Guiliani should be running as a Democrat. That "sanctuary city for illegals" will sink his campaign.
Thompson is a "globalist", no thankyou, too much of that in our government right now.

Fred Thompson although I am leaning toward Ron Paul. Ron Paul needs to have some public speaking lessons. He always looks unprepared and scared. I like his message. As for Romney....I don't like him because I think he is a fake. I don't think Guiliani can win either because he doesn't know there is anywhere else in the U.S. except New York City. We need a candidate that will build the fence and kick out the illegals. Now there would be a sure winner! 85% of the U.S. citizens want the fence built. Hillary will have no fence and amnesty for all that want to come here.

Can't 'justify' anything here.
There is no 'justification' for putting the US (and the world) through another 4 years of Republican ineptitude and dishonesty.
None whatsoever!

Ron Paul, he has the right message and plan. He would make Hillary look like an amateur during debates and he wants to end the war, not pass the buck to the next President to solve.

You have to go by the polls on this question. And the polls put Giuliani way of any other Republican at this time.

Even though hes behind in national polls, Mitt Romney has moved from 3rd to 1st in every state hes campaigned in. There must be something about him people like when they get to know him...

Rudy or Fred - I like Fred. It is still really early though. Most of the others have ZERO chance, especially Ron Paul.
