I've known it since I was little, but I just didn't know it was THIS bad. I thought if you were loyal and faithful and helped your friends out they would do the same for you. But nobody came through.

I1m 76 now, and i still have faith in my fellow man. You must have been badly treated to be so bitter, but things really do get better with time.If there are people that you know that cause you pain, then it`s time to look around for new people. It`s not easy ,but it may have to be done.LOL

I don't realize this..SOME people only care about themselves. I have been very fortunate to make some really awesome friends in life and I daresay that should I yell for help they would be by my side somehow. Maybe they didn't realize you were asking for help? Maybe they weren't able for some reason to come through? I would ask what their deal is and it may be time for new perspective on what you expect from friends,or new friends altogether

Too young!! I was like 10 or 11. I was 19 when I realized that some people are really mean/evil and like to see others suffer.

I have had times where I felt like that as long as I can remember and it does hurt everytime. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to change how other's act but I have also realized there are more people who DO care but often times, they don't always show it very well.

pretty old, I had a distorted perception of people for a while, which is odd considering I was close (family wise) to some pretty rotten people

my friends and family dont just care about themselves.. i can always count on them..ive proven it many times..
