I had an error message saying "checksum error. CPU may have been changed". I could bypass this by just pressing F1. To remove this message i loaded fail-safe defaults, however after that i got stucked to a black screen immediately after the second page before Windows XP logo appears

Hi,
Have you been touching your BIOS settings ???

On the mobo is a BIOS Clear jumper. it will be a three pin header with a jumper between two of the three pins. Move the jumper to the center and normally open position, then put it back where it was originally. This should clear any BIOS setting that is causing a problem.

Good Luck
