Most certainly it can be and it is in nearly all of us from time to time and a great many of us a lot of the time.

Yes I do see it every day living here where I am not a native. I accept what is for this is their land and not where I was raised and taught. You see I know it makes no difgference where I am I will se this look. Yes even where I was born and raised it will be there.

If you look around you you will se it often. Remember not just because anothers skin is different. Any one that is different than what they think people should, the look will apear. Many times it is suttle but if you pay attention you will see it and also hear it if you listen.

I use this to my advantage rather than getting angry at people. Surprising what can be accomplished when others deam you as much lower than they think they are.

Accept what is and when you can do something about it. Be sure you don,t just do and not think.

The eyes are the window to the soul! Of course a person's facial expression can display their true feelings! What is racial bias? It's dislike of a person due to ignorance. Dislike of all kinds shows up on our faces, from a youngster who hates lima beans, to an adults frown when our pay raise isn't what we expected!
I just had this happen to me very recently. I was introduced to someone by just my first name. We were getting along fine! When, a little while later, he learned my last name, his face displayed his instant arrogance. His words confirmed it a moment later. "Oh, you're Italian, you look like the mafia type." All I could do was chuckle and then try to educate him.

Biased? LOL! it incredibly is a actuality verify article in basic terms like the only that they did after the speeches on the Democratic national convention. what's the problem, can't take the warmth and the sunshine of real reporting? end whining. See the link under to the reality verify article with regard to the Democrats in Denver. Get actual. Edit: No it is not bias, it incredibly is actuality that Palin spoke in help of the Bridge To Nowhere formerly turning against it whilst it grew to grow to be a logo for pork barrel spending. Jeez, awaken.

I've been looked at with disgusted, annoyed, "superior", hateful, ridiculing, angry, condescending, paternal faces. I've also been looked at with expectant, knowing, inquisitive, disappointed, relieved, shamed, proud faces. Throughout the years, I've believed that many of these were the result of racial bias. I have no reference for one expression that says "racial bias" itself.

To come to that conclusion one would probably need more than a single occurrence to determine a tendency towards bias of a purely racial nature...

I've gotten it once or twice before clearly because I'm a minority. However, because I am mixed race and I've been told I look like several different races, it makes it harder for people to narrow down and pinpoint exactly what I am. They can't just say, "Oh, she's [Insert race here], I don't like her!"

Everyone at one point or another has seen that face, even if they say they haven't or don't remember seeing it. It's common, especially in this country.

I think someone can look at you with an expression of contempt, but one would be hard pressed to determine if it's racially motivated.

i'm not sure what you're really asking, but i've definitely felt that someone was looking at me with disgust. i don't know whether this was for a racial reason or not, but i have seen that look on someone's face. i'm usually more educated, socially graceful, and have more money than these people so their judgement doesn't really bother me at all.
