Not yet. A perusal of a number of answers show that no mind has been applied, no references checked and whatever that came in mind, is given as answer. Let us hope that matters improve and Y/A represents world opinion.

No, only the opinion of interested people around the world. A representation of "world opinion" would create many more identical answers than you see here. We are very diverse.

On a small scale I suppose, If Yahoo! Answers individuals were the only individuals on this planet. You wouldn't know for sure unless you got the opinion of everyone involved in that specific region or demographic.

Yahoo answers would not be a scientific sampling of world opinion, but it does represent world opinion. People answer questions for all races, political persuasion, backgrounds, ages etc. The beauty of the internet is that is gives you a vast canvas that can come together regardless of location.

Definatily not. It is representative of a very small number of people from a very few coutures. Most are UK or USA or other English speaking nations. There are a few from others.

No. There are to many people in this world who do not enjoy Internet access, some have never even seen a computer.

Not even close.... A lot of people don't have internet. And those that do don't always speak english. And even if they do know english, they might never go to Y!A. Also they may just go to their language's place, rather than English.

no.many poor people donot use the internet,especially in the third world countries. so the opinion here is skewed towards the rich.
