I'm leaning towards Race, although Indiana, Otto, and Rusty are pretty good too. It needs to be a real name, or one used by a fictional character. I'd like something the kid could be proud of having, but would be fun and memorable. I'm just looking for a boy's name now, but I'll ask about a girl's name in the near future (Ivana Carr is a front-runner). Also, first and middle name would be preferable. Maybe Harry Race Carr, or something like that.

When I hear Race I think of the kind of nationality. Not race as in to win something. I dont really like the idea of naming him from some fictional character either, he'll probably get annoyed by it as he gets older. How about Jayce Carr or Jason Carr.

Well my mate's called Jamie Carr.

Why do you want him to have a middle name like Rusty or Race? I don't understand. You said a name that he would be proud of. I think that would cause more embarrassment then pride. Don't you?

But anyway, it's your choice so here's a suggestion: Carl Carr

Problem... names are things that carry weight. what you think to be cool and neat could impact the kid while growing up and when fully grown. I say this just so you think about it a little first...

but if you are determined to go this route;:

try: Jimmy Ford Carr

or Micky Ford Carr

or Thomas Theodor Carr (as in Thomas The. Carr)

good luck

If you want your child to be proud of his or her name, don't stick them with any "memorable" oddity such as you have suggested so that people will remember them with a laugh about their "fun"ny name, because it probably won't seem funny or proud to your son or daughter, but embarrassing. Just give them a "normal" name so they can be remembered by their personality or accomplishments, something they do, not something their parents did to them. Let them be proud of you for being mature and resisting this silly temptation and for allowing them to be normal.
