Dear Dragon-I care nothing about the points. I care a lot about the friends I make and learn from around the world. I'm an American attorney--your version of barrister and solicitor combined--and I am personally delighted I found this forum. Previously, I had posted generally in law and ethics (by the way, I'll unblock my questions and answers in a moment. Please look at the few questions I've asked. They're generally about the United Kingdom.) My wife's family is from Wales and I have many friends from around the world and particularly from the Commonwealth nations since I live near a University. I spent a semester at Oxford at the Inns of the Court. I love your rhymes, also. If none of us attempted to do things because we were not perfect at the task, where would we ever learn new things? It's important for me to keep my mind active and to practice new mental skills. I'm happy to have a new connection to the beautiful country of Scotland. I'm very curious about Scottish independence, too. Finally, I've come to this site because I hate the animousity shown constantly in politics/religion and the other sites. I DO NOT want this to look like those sites. EDIT: How odd. Another "thumbs down" on this answer. If I'm being offensive, please advise me. I can't figure out how what I saw as innocent answers generate a "thumbs down."

Since I found this site I have completely forgotten about points then yesterday I was informed that I was at level 5 . I hope this doesn't mean I'm in trouble. I have had to leave the room a few times from all the laughing going on around here . The people on this site must be doing something right ( I think that rhymes, there might be hope for me yet) There are so many new friends showing up and contributing daily. How can friends be compared to points?
I always wanted to be a cheerleader but was not athetically inclined ,but I can cheer loud and long .........Friends are forever!!!! Go Draaaaaaaaa gon !

POINTS? You mean we get points for doing this. Well I'll be.
What a weird concept. I just enjoy meeting with and answering questions from you people from all over the world. Learning that we all may have grown up in different places, but our lives are a lot the same.
I do have trouble understanding the dragon and farmhouse and now the hotel stories. Maybe some of us just need a tutorial, or instruction book, so that we can follow along.
I enjoy that some of the younger crowd elects to join us once in a while to hear what we have to say. The Trolls will always pass through, but we can always just ignore them or give them a thumbs down and they will eventually go away. It's fun to meet and converse with you all.

I come to this section for fun, learning and sharing....not necessarily to make 'friends' as that moniker is attached to people I truly know. I DO enjoy many of the people's postings here and find them humorous, insightful, compassionate and learned. Still, it is a pleasant pasttime and as far as points are concerned I only get 'excited' when approaching a new level, and quite frankly after I reach Level 6 I will probably not be looking at levels anymore here...lol
I'm currently really trying to stay within the posted Y! guidelines though as I also know that 'smudging' the lines of what is really a question with 'real' answers can result in Y! wiping it or the poster out! Not MY rules to be sure but rules nonetheless....and I want to be around to enjoy the site.
Keeping the internet and the various offerings thereof in perspective is paramount so that we always, but always keep a balanced life with off the internet interests too :-)
[Said with respect for all - but as the younger generation is fond of saying 'just trying to keep it real'] lol

Ok dragon, here goes a thumbs down and probably a
report for me but I could give
a cats a s s less.
I've tried to be intelligent on
some of the other categories,
but I'm continuelly brought down to the thumb suckers
mentality. So I don't go over
there much. Im a grown up
and I think like a grown up
and I act like a grown up.
When little fart face Terrill
called us all old farts, I was
ready to climb thru this screen
and flatten his nose.
I guess I'm just not ready for
answers because I actually
like having a grown up intelligence and I refuse to
lower myself to obey unrealistic "rules"...in fact,
I'm not used to living by other
person's unreasonable "rules". I'm used to making the rules. But mine are very
easy to obey because I'm a fun person and I want my life
to be happy.
Oh, God, I'm a Senior, I
forgot my point. This site is
increasing my B/P. Gotta leave for awhile.
"They" are not letting me submit this. We'll see if you
can ever read it.

To be honest, I'm not really interested in either points or making new friends. I may sound a bit egotistic, but having lived 58 years with a decent brain in my head I think that I have a wealth of experience to help people who ask genuine questions. I do this because I think it's a good thing to do, simple as that.

Before I came to this site, I answered questions to help people and get pts as fast as I could. I thought that was all there was to it.
Then I found you all and started really having fun and caring for people. Now the pts don't matter at all. I've seen people mention how once they'd get to a certain level people target them to get there accounts deleted. They may take away my acct., I may be talked about or thought badly of, but they can't take away the memories of the laughter or love I have for the friends I've met here.

Woo Hoo Dragon!
This is the best site. I enjoy the food and recipes also because cooking and baking is a passion .
I do wish people could at least say what country they're from. Sometimes you can guess, but I don't think that would breach any security issues, do you?

It's definately the friends. When yahoo started that silly banner business I had people ask me why I didn't have one. I didn't know & didn't care. It turns out that it's because I answer questions from a lot of different categories instead of being an expert on one. Fine with me.
I have met some nice folks on here I hope to be able to communicate with for a long time.
Long live your dragon! I have beasties of my own!
