Both the Wii and DS are most definately awesome Nintendo systems; especially for anyone who's ever played a Nintendo system before and loves both consoles and handhelds.
The Wii is $250 dollars; but they're seriously hard to find because of supply and demand. You have to call stores and arrive early to get one. So try buying a Wii from Online, like EBay. The DS Lite is $120 dollars and are easy to find in stores.
The Wii is very fun indeed because you actually get into the game by using the Wii Remote's motion sensing capabilities. It's very fun playing Wii Sports; and there are other awesome Wii games like Zelda Twilight Princess. There's also other great games coming out, like Super Mario Galaxy (November 12) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl (December 3).
The Wii also has many other cool features; like a weather, news, and internet channel. You can also play with photos, and download games from past consoles like the NES, SNES, and N64 from the Wii Shop channel.
The DS is just as great. It's a very great handheld; especially if you like to kick back and play video games. It's even better than the GBA; and you can also play GBA games on the DS as well. You use the stylus is many ways when playing, and its just as fun other than pressing buttons.
The DS also has a grand library of Wi-Fi games; like Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Other great games are Zelda Phantom Hourglass, which just came out this October. Also highly reccommended games are the Mario games, like New Super Mario Bros.
I hope these details I mentioned help anyone consider how great the Wii and DS are. Either way, they both are great, and you should't have a tough time choosing.

The Wii and DS systems are both made by Nintendo, so they both have their pros and cons. The DS has very interactive games, and has the multiplayer/DS Download feature. The Wii has internet connections, and is good if you like movement and fast-paced action. The DS and the Wii can both be broken easily, although I think the DS is stronger. Wii has more kid games, but for the most part they are all addicting. The DS has a larger choice of games, but you will find not many of them will appeal to you.

DS its a small little thing
Wii hours of fun free wii sports family games loads of stuff!
I like both. But there both made by nintedno and wii came after ds so it is better

So did mine.
I chose a DS because it's easier to sneak and play in the middle of the night.
But Wii is definetly better.

I would get the wii it more fun and good fitness exercise. if you travel the ds would be better because you can just carry it around

Well if you want to take something to do on journeys get DS
if you mostly stayed at home get Wii
I got DS before wii and i was glad have something to do on journeys and when i get home i glad to play the wii.
What ever happens its your choice??

You should get the wii its playing style is differnt its motion sensing so I recommend the wii
