Star Spangled banner
Most Popular verse
O say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave?

It IS the Star Spangled Banner. There was a push, at one time, for it to be changed to America the Beautiful because some citizens considered it to be easier to sing. But it was not popular enough because citizens did not want to change.

It's the "Star Spangled Banner", but it should be "America the Beautiful", easier for the average person to sing.
