No, it is nonexistent. There is no truth, only information which may or may not be true and people's perceptions of it.

Truth is not barren it is full of life with all sorts of colorful hues and pathways covered in clover, and flowers, with wonderful snow caped mountains, and sky's as blue as the oceans below and the lakes on top of the earth. Birs that sore and sing the sweetest of melodies and animals that speak and wondrous moments where there is no time. A place that few have wonder upon, and even fewer manage to stay. For once you come across a Great Truth and wonder from its ways, you then enter into the barren lands of disbelief and false images and voices of the past and time becomes the enemy of your soul.

Only some human-contrived truths are sterile and barren; some examples are the many dogmatic creeds of about 38,000 different Christian churches, or some scientists still too attached to Einstein's theories. Recently, particles have been measured traveling faster than C. 50,000 C is just a mediocre speed on a higher level, not yet discovered. Infinite speed is also real on infinite and infinite-absolute levels of Reality. Clinging too long to old truths can slow our progress. All new truths will also just be an expansion of some basic old truths.

Real truth, is living, adaptive, ever flexible in mode of best presentation to different audiences.

Jesus when Incarnate, once said: "Let us be patient, the truth never suffers from honest examination."

Too much truth, not properly adjusted to a human's experiences and capacities of soul and mind, can be initially blinding.

To discuss He the Spirit of Truth, that would be a better topic for R&S here. There I could share much more, as I am a living Truth specialist for over 30 years to date.

Truth is a seed that requires fertile soil to grow and flourish. If an individual’s soul is barren or full of weeds truth will never root there and this person’s life will be barren and deprived of truth.

Yes, the truth is barren.

As I understand it, a barren ground is one where the soil does not look fertile, and weeds look struggling to stay alive. As a metaphor, the word implies unadorned, or unpromising.

Many people expect truth to be simple and pleasant, as seen in TV. Well, the low hanging fruit was already picked. What remains is difficult to reach.

Others came here before we did, and we benefit from their struggles. Such benefit is one we take too much for granted. We do not see the effort involved, how sometimes they had to die for their beliefs. When it is our turn to put the effort, we are surprised it is so hard. Truth can be beautiful, but it takes cultivation to see that beauty.

I believe you're referring to the noun "truth" as something incontrovertible. Something that is in fact what it is represented to be. How, then, could truth be barren?
This is a philosophical question regarding "absolute" truth that requires no further debate such as, what is truth to you may not be truth to me, etc.
Each truth is very much alive & fertile; enriching with continuing growth. Truth is essential to every aspect of our lives. Without it, we are "blind" & stumbling with misperceptions, unwise decisions, convoluted moral compass.
It is the opposite of "barren" which is unproductive, unfruitful, infertile.
Please take a journey on this (unless you already know, & asked to discover what others believe). Interesting question.

Edit: Thanks to Marguerite for being so concise!

Truth is not barren. To the contrary, it is quite pregnant! A truth creates questions which produce other truths. It is infinite and, therefore, constantly fertile.

What is barren about "all men are created equal"? Or, "The sun is shining brightly and beautifully today!"? or, John Galt to Dagney Taggart, "No, we never had to worry."?* or "God is good, God is great."? "The barren truth" applies only to truth that is barren, just like an "inconvenient truth" only applies to those that are inconvenient.

Truth is enlightenment.

Belief in false ideas, mythologies and dogma is barren.

No.
Truth is such a rare thing, it is delighted to tell it.

Truth comes as conqueror only to those who have lost the art of receiving it as friend.

The truth that makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear.

Truth, like a torch, the more it's shook it shines. :)
