The libs sacrifice NOTHING. They did some research and found libs donate way less the Republicans. GEE I guess they are more free with every ones money except their own.

This is a good question because it is very true that Democrats say we should sacrifice for the war effort but they are VERY non specific.
We could sacrifice by actually paying for the war, but Democrats are afraid to speak this basic truth because they are usually too cowardly to stand up to Norquist type anti tax rhetoric.
The main sacrifice could be an excise tax, pay as you go for each war supplement. That's far better than selling our souls along with our Treasury Bonds to the Chinese. Democrats have such a bill in Congress now, but Republicans are either raging at it or laughing.
The govt could issue war bonds. Bush could do an oval office address to promote them. People would buy them faster than they could be printed. We'd get interest and we'd be invested in a positive outcome for the war.

Of course you have no interest in the cost of the war I gather.
Rather than have ALL of us sacrifice, you'll be happy if it's only the the families of the shot up and the dead I gather while the rest of us take a tax cut and pass the cost to our great great grand kids, that's really clear thinking.

It's funny you bring that up. I was coming out of Lowes in a very Liberal area yesterday (Rehoboth Beach, DE). The guy who came out at the same time was parked next to me. He drives a Volvo with a Kerry/Edwards sticker on it (I guess he doesn't realize that election is over). Anyway, he's got a cart load of stuff (about twice what I have), so what does he do, he starts his car before he unloads the cart (he was still unloading when I left and I had at least 200 lbs of stuff on my cart). Basically he was running the car for 5 minutes for no reason.
I was wondering about global warming and wasting oil. I saw no reason for him to do this. Very strange and very wasteful. Perhaps he is envious of Gore flying around in a private jet and this is just his own little wasteful luxury.
The funniest thing I ever saw in this respect was a Hummer with an "I Vote Green" sticker (in Liberal Montgomery County, MD). When I saw it, it took a few seconds to register, I was flabbergasted.

I talk about what a bonehead move invading Iraq has indeed turned out to be. Fascism and socialism? Well, fascists like to torture prisoners, and, the Republican party is the first party to do so in America. Disgusting.

Very melodramatic but untrue. While I am not a liberal, I don't support this "War". I'm sorry but I don't understand how Iraq was any more of a threat to our freedom than any other country lead by an evil dictator.

OK. Was this a real question or a speech?
BTW: If it was a speech. Not bad. Did you make up that whole high priestess and knife thing or did you get it somewhere else. Either way I thought it was pretty good.

Talk is cheap and at the present rate, that will be all the middle class and poor will be able to afford- except hate speech, we have a big price tag on that one, don't we?
All joking aside, the bottom line is they want everything but don't want to pay for it all themselves.
