I still love reading Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and Black Beauty - nearly fifty years on from their first reading.

Which books do you have fond memories of - and still enjoy today?

I had two sets of children's encyclopaedia - Arthur Mees and Pictorial Knowledge. I loved them and read them over and over again - there was such a lot in them.
Unfortunately, I gave them to my daughter (thinking she would treasure them LOL!) and she sold them for pence at a car boot sale.

I've always loved the "Little House on The Prairie" series. It is written from a down to earth and simple way that both kids and adults can enjoy and receive something from.
I have read it to my own kids, and every once in a while I read through them again. They are filled with adventure, laughter, love and a whole lot more!

A set of Bedtime Stories by Arthur S Maxwell. Read them many many years ago and still sometimes read them.
An abridged version of Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. That book is very very cute. I love reading it, because I love horses.

I have a Rupert Bear annual which was given to me when I was five which I loved, and I was presented with a children's pop-up book of the Bible when I started Sunday School. I still have them both today and my youngest Grandson loves to the read the stories, they are as fresh today as they were to me many years ago.

Well, I still am a kid, but my favorite book when I was about four was Rapunzel. I am a teenager, now, and I still love reading different versions of the story!
