Why would you want to have a introduction on your diary? It's your diary and nobody is going to read it. But I know that you want to be creative so write something that means a lot to you or a poem that explains what your life is. Something that stands out and put it in your diary as an introduction. For me, I just draw and write quotes around my drawings as an introduction and a sweet little poem.

You should start off with something about why you feel the need to write a diary. Diaries are cool to look back on years from now. So, start off with what drove you to want to write one at this point in time.
P.S. Don't use the #2 in place of the word "to" - that's my suggestion.
So, ask "I am starting TO write my personal diary, how TO start..."

A diary is a daily log and the introduction is from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed, implicating your events seven days of ,24/7; and away highlighting key event .

Introduce yourself to the diary as if you are introducing yourself to a complete stranger. It should cover your history from childhood, as much as you can recall, all happy and sad episodes ,brief notes on relatives and friends. Then proceed to note down your present good and bad qualities. Some reference to your friends and enemies may also be thrown in. With such introduction, you may proceed to tell your daily happenings of all colors to your diary, in a way as if you are confiding to your best friend.A caution, NEVER let anyone reach your diary.

its your own personal diary that no one else should be reading, it doesn't need a good introduction unless you want it to have one. If you DO want and intro, how about the date and a short short recap on how you felt that day (i.e. happy, good, blah, devastated, etc) then go into details on what actually happened that day
