Computer has internet connection through a "Netopia" router. There's 4 Ethernet ports on the back.. The computer is plugged into one port, the Xbox360 into another.... How do i configure my router to enable the Xbox360 to share the internet with my computer???

That is what a router should do automatically.

This is how the physical connections should look like:
-Cable from wall or phone jack to modem
-Ethernet cable from modem to routers WAN Port, unless you have a modem/router combo unit, in that case its already connected inside.
Ethernet cables from the routers ethernet ports to the computers ethernet port and a ethernet cable to the xbox's ethernet port
-You will now need to log into the router, check your manual on how to do this, and make sure the DHCP server is enabled in the router. This will automatically assign a IP address to your computer and XBOX.
-If your Xbox and computer do not get a IP address then you will need to configure the ethernet adapters in the computer and xbox to accept IP automatically. This can also be found in the xbox manual.
