i was on depo for 3 years... was supposed to get a shot aug. 21 and didn't. we've been ttc since. i had read it can take 6 to 18 months for someone to get pregnant. just depends on the person's individual body.... 83% of women on birth control become pregnant within a year. and contrary to what other hear, it doesn't matter how long you've been on it... (see link on website.)

two weeks later after my shot was due, i had my period ...boy i forgot what that was like... :-(

I tested this morning (supposed to start today)... negative... have sore boobs and nipples... but i haven't started my period yet... hopefully it's wrong...

Most women I know who've used depo have gotten their period back about 4 months after. One of them even longer. If you have concerns, please see your Dr. He/she can give you a much better idea of what to expect than someone online. However, I can tell you that if you're under 35, they likely will not do anything to 'help' you until you've tried to conceive for at least a whole year. Best of luck to you!

Generally speaking you have to wait till you've had your first period before you start trying. No period no ovulation, generally. Depending on how long you were on depo it can take up to 2 years to fall pregnant. But then you had to be on it for years. Good Luck
