High-Definition to Analog TV?

my video card is
ATi Radeon HD 2600 Pro Sonic.
there is a HDMI slot.
but i don't have HD-TV.
can i connect it to analog TV.
does it reduce the quality.?

but my video card doesn't have s-video slot.
there are VGA, DVI, and HDMI.

use the s-video connection

If the connections are there you can do it - but of course if your TV isn't HD neither will your picture be.
