there's nothing wrong with the name Raymond. it's a good name. tell the family and friends you've changed your mind and you are not telling the name of the baby, they will have to wait and when he's born you introduce the latest member to the family " Raymond " . bottom line is, it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks love, go with what you like.

Raymond is a nice name, i know two great guys called raymond, and i don't see anything wrong with the name. The name you give to your child is up to you not your family & friends.

Raymond is not for me, but if you have chosen that name for your child, then it is beautiful. Name your child the name that makes you and your partner happy. Once the baby is born, everyone will love him just the same!
Congrats on your baby :)

No sorry, its not something I would choose but its not the worst name in the world either. I think because its not in the modern "aidan, caden, jayden, cameron, jordan etc.." sort of category people might not like it. Its a perfectly fine name though and if you love it then use it . Don't discuss it with anyone and if someone asks what baby names you like just tell them you're not sure yet...and leave it at that.
Not everyone fell head over heels with my daughters name, Eliza, but i really didn't care as she is my daughter and I felt it was the perfect name for her, and you know what, it suits her wonderfully!!

Best of luck and congrats!

I like it. We were thinking about that for a middle name for my unborn baby brother. It is my grandma's brother's name, my uncles middle name, and my cousin's name. So I really have to like it. But I do! And who cares if your family doesn't lie it. They won't even mention the name once the baby is born! They will just care about the beautiful baby! congratulations!

Noone in my family liked my sisters decision to call her child Oscar. But now everyone loves it for him because he is "oscar". I dont know but he just fitted the name!
Its not an embaresing name or one that the child could be upset about in the future so if you like it then good for you!
Makes me think fo Ray Romano and he's funny!

In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of the name Raymond. It reminds me of Ray Romano right away. Also, I think it's more fitting for an older man. If you like it though, then name your child it. It's ultimately your choice. Maybe just consider calling him Ray in his younger years.
