You probably mean Steve Bartman, Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS against Florida. Not a home run play -- it'd be really difficult to interfere on a close home run ball in Wrigley -- it was a foul pop that came down so close to the spectator wall that I'm still unsure if it was above the field or in the seats.

Ancient history. Bartman deserves peace, at least from this topic.

Steve f'n Bartman.

It wasn't a HR ball it was a foul ball. it's not really possible to interfere with a HR ball in wrigley.

Every fan at a home game knows better to reach for a ball that close to the outside of the stands BUT he did.

That didnt cost us anything really except an out that brought us closer to the world series.

BUT the black cat didnt cost us anything either and neither did the billy goat.

It's all in our heads and I don't care who you are, when you come to northside to win your reminded of our history every f'n day.
