I just bought a skateboard and the underside ends, the paint is all chipped from stopping and stuff. Is this supposed to happen or do i need guards.

it wears off naturally youll probably ride the board about 5 months then it will be completely destroyed and youll need a new one. dont worry its natural and guards make you look like a poser so dont do it

This kind of wear and tear is common when stopping on a skateboard, but if want to prevent this from happening, I would recommend a guard of some kind.

give powersliding a go instead of sliding your tail, it'll keep your board in better condition and it'll save you money from buying a new one any time soon.
