Helen,Helen,Helen,your obsessing.whats with all the house work questions? 1st-i hate dishes the most ,2nd-making my bed,i love my bed its incredibly big and comfortible,so i don't mind giving a little back to it. 3rd-yes i did house work as a kid,my mom would drag my brother and me to the laundry mat as well, 4th- yes kids should have some chores,it instills a bit of responcibilty, keepinng the room in order,mowing the lawn,clearing the table,kids my think its going to kill them but it won't.

It helps teaching children housework, because it teaches them how to be responsible. It's good also that you make housework fun for them because they're not going to enjoy doing it just doing the housework in a normal way.

Children need to do housework in order to learn responsibility and about time-management. This will aid in maturation and give them a healthy dose of realism. The world ahead is much more real than little children know and it will be less of a culture shock to them if they have learned this at home.

mph..yeah i think its very important.cause it can make them to be resposible and some times housework make the children have to discuss their housework with their parents if they don't understand about that. it make them want to know the right answer and they can get something new!! but, don't give them many houseworks. cause it can make them boring, tired, stress, sick,and maybe crazy... ^_^

of course children's should do a little bit of house work or how will they learn this all half of the teenage kids don't know this all and when their parent teach them this all at this age they thing that's a burden 4 them hence u should give training as soon as they are 5

Yes...because we are human beings and have responsibilities within our living space. Children should be given age appropriate chores as their is no fairyland where one day they will not have a home of their own.

It encourages responsibility. Also, why should one person have to be the one to do all the work? It also should be decided based on age because of ability.

very much so. it teaches them responsibility. sets a pattern for future housekeeping habits. makes them a part of the household..and gives them pride in their home..and personal belongings.

yes. even simple things give a child a sense of responsibility and accomplishment. this would give them confidence to do bigger things when they grow up.
