I have a check written to my name with date 26 September, can I still cash it ? (United Kingdom question).

I think cheques are ok for 6 months.

Normal cheques in the UK are valid only for 6 months.

In theory it is six months, but in practice few banks check small value cheques before clearing them, so I've seen cheques cleared after this date.

Yes you can still cash the cheque.
I thought the limit was three months but I've seen others reply six.

Yes you can cash it. I believe it's valid for six months. I assume it's 2007.

Most banks will accept cheques up to six months old. After this, if the bank knows you they may still accept it, but many will refuse it.
