It's starting to get to be that time of year where we change the clocks back an hour. This year it's going to be a week later than it usually is. So the sun will be rising an hour earlier. We are also starting to get near the shortest day of the year which is the Winter Solstice (December 21) and the sun will only be out for 9 hours.

Sunrise here in the Pacific Northwest is at 7:14 am, since you are much closer to the equator, the sun doesn't start showing itself about a half hour after the time you list, since the it lights up quicker than it does further North.
