If you mean GREY matter, they're talking about brains.
Otherwise I don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Grey mater in brain is made of nerve cells and white mater of nerve fibers. Human brain needs more neurones than animal brain.

Gray matter(in da spinal cord) is a major component of the central nervous system, consisting of nerve cell bodies, glial cells, capillaries, and short nerve cell extensions(axons and dendrites).
