One side of my nose has ran clear fluid for months and it's been diagnosed as a basilar fracture. I've never heard of this.

Basilar Skull Fracture This is a fracture (break or crack) of the basilar bone of the skull, which is part of the floor of the skull that holds the brain. Fractures in this bone can cause tears in the sack compartments that hold the brain, resulting in a leakage of the cerebral spinal fluid (the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord).

Yes. My daughter had a Basilar skull fracture & a severley depressed skull fracture when she was ejected from a car.

They didn't notice the Basiilar fracture until almost 5 days after the accident. The only reason the Dr's re x-rayed & re CT scanned was because she was deaf in one ear.
