I could not stand not being able to see. I would lose hearing and speech both to be able to see.

On Sept. 15, 2006 my husband had to have his voice box removed because of throat cancer. 2 months later our Grandson was born. He was very frustrated because he had to write most things down because we had a hard time reading his lips. He wanted so BAD to be able to coo and talk with Zachary. I saw what he went through for the 11 months before he died. I would rather lose my sight then not be able to say out loud I love you to my family and close friends.

Not being able to see would make using Yahoo answers a very complicated affair. So that would be the worse by far.

I would choose not to talk. I'll always be able to learn sign language or write to communicate. I would rather be able to see all the beautiful colors and nature among other things.

I could live without talking for the rest of my life. I can just learn sign language. I wouldn't be able to sing anymore but I'd be willing to give that up for sight.
