I think any reasonable person doesn't want the government or the FBI's hands tied when it comes to dealing with terrorists, who are people specifically taking advantage of the freedoms and protections in this country to murder us all if they can.
As long as they have reasonable reason to think that person is dangerous, and it's not somehow used for political purposes I am all for them doing whatever is necessary to protect the lives of 280 million Americans (and abroad too!)

Let's be real here. Islamic terrorists are a formidable foe. They have no conscience and they have no compunction - they will kill anyone they can get to if they think it will further their agenda. They are dangerous, very dangerous.
Generally I support tough methods for extracting information and generally I support the government in what they are doing. It must be remembered, however, that information gotten from torture (admit it, that's what it is) is often suspect. If someone is applying electrodes to my nether regions, I might admit to anything.
We need to be very careful with this stuff. Like the death penalty, it's unsavory for us to engage in this activity but at the same time it may be necessary.
And it does remove us from the moral high ground with the rest of the world. Of course the rest of the world, for the most part, didn't have 9/11 or 7/7 (the London tube bombings)...

Many. It is all highly classified.
Numerous innocent lives have been saved.
Do you think the information would have been obtained by offering them Iranian Mozifati dates, Moroccan mint tea and Sevruga Caviar, not to mention Moet and Chamdon Rose Imperiale NV Champagne?? Perhaps if we just ask them very nicely and politely, "Please tell us what we need to know so we can save innocent lives?", that would be much more effective.......

Zero.
It has emboldened terrorists to increase terrorist activities.
It certainly didn't help me get the stolen DeathStar plans from Princess Leia.

None, but apparently there are hundreds of them in the delusional minds of the right wingers, especially the top delusionals Bush and Cheney.

You want me to name them all? 5 come to mind off hand, but the names of the proposed attackers don't. Maybe that's because their names are not worth remembering?

You'll never know. Just know that there probably have been hundreds.
I have no problem with that practice.
