I'm not a gamer so I'm not looking for a high end video card. However, I do want to be able to play media on my computer on my TV. Any recommendations?

even the cheapest video cards nowadays will do if you just want to play media. find the cheapest one you can get (as long as it has some kind of output to your tv like s-video or dvi or something)

i suggest you get the evga nVidia 8600gt, i think its about $100 for the 256mb and $150 for the 512mb...

its a pci-express card and it supports directx10
its a cheap card with lots of features in it, 2560x1600 Max Digital resolution...

its the next best thing to 8800 series and you can buy 2pcs of this and run them on SLI, and you would get almost the same quality of 8800 series... i own one right now and i think its the bestest card for gamers on budget... btw it can also deliver high-quality video playback, and its DirectX10 compatible man!!!!
