Are other countries having problems with product from China or is it just US's fault?

I was wondering if Japan had the same problem we did. We just discovered tainted meat in Walmart and Sam's and that's in US. What is our country doing to protect us?

In Brazil, where I live, almos all our toy industries have problems. Many closed its doors. When we enter into a toy magazine, more than 90% of its products are made in China. many are not of good quality. They are cheap but of low quality. I believe that something must be done here too.

Millions of toys were recalled from Australia. It started to happen in about the late 1995 to 1996 (may be a bit wrong about the date).. The Chinese Government offered to build factories, at their (The Chinese) expense, if companies would manufacture their goods in China and then export/import them home. Obviously, this appealed to the big Corporations., and their Bank Accounts. So they outsourced. They had the added advantage of much, much cheaper labour. So, they all jumped on board. It took jobs away from people, here in Australia, as I imagine it must have in the USA, and I honestly think that we should STOP buying things manufactured in China. Let some good home industries start up, making clothes, toys etc. The Governments should be stepping in big time here, Oh! don't get me started! People could have died from infected meat. Good God! That is terrible. Get meat from your local butcher, and let Walmart and Sams go to hell! Just stop buying from them. It's they only way they will learn. Another thing, is microchips. Walmart have insisted that Gillette and many other products have micros chips in them, so they now are invading your personal privacy.
