A new man is taking overthe Madeleine McCann case. He is apparently one of the finest detectives in Portugal. I find it interesting that the investigation will continue to focus on the theory that Madeleine died in the apartment. Obviously there is evidence to support this theory and the results of further DNA tests are awaited. I think that the "sacking" of the ex chief in charge of the case was a shrewd move by the Portuguese who are confident that they can solve this case and don't want any doubt cast on the integrity of their investigation. What do you all think?

I certainly hope so.
You would have to think it was enevitable but who knows what high powered friends can buy or influence?

I certainly think its very important that we try in our own way to keep the pressure on these two.

We dont want them to be emboldened enough to brazen it out.

We want them to come clean and tell the truth.

What about it McCanns?

What about a decent clean burial for Madeleine?

Well he is only a fine dtective because he hasn`t dished any dirt the Mc Canss way. Give him a week or two in the job and Team Mc Cann will be trying to ruin his career as well. Anything to get the child neglectors off.

I do not know, which is all anyone can say. The parents look genuinely distressed to me, and I find the police case flimsy. But at the end of the day, I have no idea, and I don't like to reach a judgement based on tabloid headlines! So I'll just go with the quaint old notion of presumption of innocence!

I sincerely hope he does solve the case....and beyond any shadow of a doubt. I would hate for the McCanns, if charged and subsequently found guilty, to be able to continue to plead their innocence.
