my girlfriend did a load of laundry and when she took the laundry out she discovered it hadn't drained. I'm really pissed off cause I just bought it 3 months ago and she's careless and breaks things all the time. is it going to be inexpensive to repair? Its a samsung front load washer.

I work for an appliance repair company. With most brands there should be a one year warranty on parts and labor, although I am not completely sure about Samsung because we do not repair that brand. Your best bet is to check your owners manual or to call the store you got it from. They may send someone out to repair it if they have a service department or get you in contact with Samsung that will give you a repair company in your area. Good Luck.

I think its still under warranty. A couple of things could have happened. The motor that opens a valve could be stuck or fried. Or solenoid could operate the drain valve could be stuck or fried. Or the Timer is messed up. The front loaders are a little different the old fashion type used a water pump driven by the same motor as the basket and Agitator when the motor goes out on those it will be pretty much junk.

The Front loader I know is operated by a small motor or Solenoid to drain it as the basket spins. You could check the timer too with a volt meter to probe it out to see if its giving voltage to the small motor or solenoid to narrow it down.

Did you not purchase the warrenty? If so then it should be covered for the repair. But maybe you should check the drain line it might just be clogged and you could possibly fix it yourself.

If the motor is working, there is probable some trash interior the pump. Pull the inlet off the pump and sense interior which incorporate your finger. If no longer and the pump isn't working - replace the pump. earlier all this, verify to ensure your drain hose isn't kinked like quite a few different fellow stated.

Check and see if perhaps a small item of clothing got under the agitator and clogged the drain. i once had that problem and found a sock plugging the drain.

9 out of 10 times it is just some lint and dirt in your drain diaphram...if they wont honor the warranty...just take the back off the washer...follow your drain line and take the drain apart and clean it out...
