Midi systems are not powerful or bass heavy.

£200-£300 will not buy ANYTHING powerful or bass heavy.

Spend £500 and get a proper hi-fi system - as loud and as bass heavy as you want!

If i was you i'd save up another couple of hundred quid and go buy a seperate system( you know one where the cd player, amp and radio tuner are all seperate.) also i suggest you spend most of your budget on a good quality amp and speakers, then spend the rest on a cd player and tuner.
