I went into hospital with regular contractions on thursday but they went away so i was sent home friday afternoon. But yesterday my back was killing me. I've had tightenings in the top of my stomach as well but the pain is in my back. I haven't had back pain like this in my pregnancy before, its at the bottom of my back. When i was in hospital they said the baby was lying back to back. I have already had a show, on wednesday, and i can't stop cleaning the house. (i hate housework, my husband thinks i've gone mad) I'll be 36 weeks on monday.

I've heard about sex starting it off thats how i ended up in hospital thursday as it was my wedding anniversary wednesday. My husband won't go near me now. He's scarred that the baby will come if we have sex. I have to wait til im 38 weeks.

if you have had a show then that says that the babies head is well low down in the pelvis and back pain etc are all signs of early labout...BUT....lol....sex can also give you the false labour pains as sperm contains the same hormone (prostagladin) as the pessery they give you to induce labour....your cervix could be softening and getting ready for labour but you could also be like this for another 2 weeks....i doubt you will go till 40 weeks but i guess you never no...tell hubby sex is on the menu for breakfast lunch and dinner...if your going into labour then this will help it 100% and if your not...well....the sex never hurt anyone...lol

nesting is normal and not an indication of imminent labour unfortunately. the contractions are a good sign as is the mucus plug but I would suggest going for a walk in the early evening, have a warm shower then attack your partner at bed time as I swear that having sex will get things moving. After the deed is done, shove a couple of thick pillows under your hips/butt and lay there for a while so the semen can soften your cervix. the same hormone is in semen and the pitocin / prostogladin that they use to induce labour artificially so this could be enough to get things moving for you.
I would only do this from 37 weeks though as baby is considered full term then. any earlier and you may risk complications with baby.
best of luck, i hope it happens soon for you!

You could be, but us women are always so desperate to hold our babies that we can read into signs.
You could be getting braxton hicks, and you could have muscle strains from all the housework you keep doing.
Just live life as normal as possible. When you get your real contractions, you will know without a doubt.
If it does come soon, don't worry, as 36 weeks is very safe these days, but it may just be a combination of factors. And if it's back to back, you want it to swivel round for you. Rest plenty to give it opportunity and freedom to move.
Good luck. Remember to breathe!!

There is every chance that you may have your baby early but then again you could quite possibly go to 40 weeks....babies come when there ready and not a day before
good luck

Go walking every evening. That oughta throw you into labor. If not, don't worry about it. The child will eventually escape, they always do. lol. Good luck.
