Dave's (David Cameron) Tory Party didn't exactly seem unbeatable somehow although Labour no longer has the huge lead in opinion polls it once did.

Sadly, I think he probably would have.
Just remember the last government...
Iraq
The Hutton Enquiry
Bernie Ecclestone's millions to allow cigarette advertising for F1.
Undeclared loans.
All those ministers who resigned "Without a stain on their character" says Blair.
Cherie.
And these are just what I can think of off the top of my head...

Yet, despite this, they STILL got elected!!!!
The electorate of this country leaves me speechless.

Of course he would have. Who's going to get in the way?
The Conservatives? With that slimy git Cameron in the seat? One or two opinion polls mean nothing. Cameron stands about as much chance of being elected as Labour in Scotland getting back into the Scottish Parliament as the ruling party.
Especially with Westminster withdrawing aid to Scottish farmers whilst paying English and Welsh farmers compensation because of foot and mouth. An outbreak caused by a government laboratory affecting the entire UK, and suddenly there's no compensation for Scottish farms because they're Scottish and for no other reason. This f*ck up was caused by a UK government agency, and the UK government should compensate ALL UK farmers, not just the one's down south.
But hey, the compesation was withdrawn THE DAY AFTER Gordon Brown said there wasn't going to be an election.
Which makes everyone think that it was only ever there as a bribe to ensure Scottish votes for Labour.
Labour, no more trustworthy than the Conservatives. And the party that lit the fuse on Scottish independence. Because everything Westminster does that is perceived as unfair in Scotland drives more voters to the SNP.
Thanks, Gordon. Never let it be said you've done nothing for Scotland. This SNP voter says thanks for all your help. You'll be the best asset the SNP has by the time you eventually get the cojones to call an election.

Gordon Brown has revealed his true colours very quickly. He is a total liar as all New Labour are. He lied about the troop numbers coming home just before he announced that there "might" be a snap election. He was scared off from calling a general election after David Camerons excellent speech at the Blackpool conference earned the Conservatives a load more points in the polls.
Mr. Gordon Brown is a liar, a scoundrel and a coward. An unelected one at that. This whole corrupt pile of scum government are all one and the same.

He probably would still have won. The Tories' popularity has bounced after Cameron's performance at their conference - but then it does every year. After a few weeks (and especially if Boris opens his mouth) their popularity will wane.

The opinion poll in question was in the News of the World - not renowned as the most accurate reflection of British popular opinion. When universal suffrage was being debated someone suggested that giving the vote to women and the great unwashed would result in the candidate with the nicest hat being elected. Perhaps Gordon should wear a Glengarry.

emperor Gordon Brownapate , is so scared of loosing. he knows he has no chance, we have not forgotten what he did too us as chancellor of the exchequer with his taxation..

besides that the man has NO courage, no honour, he could only govern by deception and fear (and i mean him self) he is afraid of his own shadow. he is the countries first minister to be truthful.
he is also the countries first liar! first dictator! and the countries main embarrassment to the entire world.

he would not win ,could not win, he wont have an election unless he is assured of a win he is scared to take a risk, he does not mind risking others for his safety and power.

,he is that afraid, he is the one PM who would fix the election to win. just so he can have his power at any cost.

it was asked what would he do if he lost the election. i think he would fade away into obscurity. this would break him. without power the man is nothing but what he is. a lieing thief

the sooner he is gone the sooner this country can be come a better place to live. he want to sell us out to the EUseless

He probably would have won an election if it was held now instead of 2009 or so. The trouble is that things are going to go rapidly downhill from now on due to his own mismanagement of the nation's finances when Chancellor of the Exchequer. The Labour party unfortunately think that money grows on trees and are borrowing much too much.

I of course want that Gordon Brown has shown to be the biggest suitable nail in Labour's coffin. They promised plenty on an identical time as first elected in 1997 yet have did not furnish very practically the excellent deal of their manifesto. great Britain is a plenty poorer place than it grew to grow to be into on an identical time as labour took over.

I think there is a chance that Grodon Brown could have won a snap election, I base this assumption on the fact that millions of idiots put Tony Blair in power and they are just as likely to continue supporting the party that is crucifying this country

Sir
Politics is not like lottery or the meeting of the aliens. If you do not appear you win? No. The election is the choice of the populace and that goes with the Constitution of the English country or any other. You cannot say just because i have flu the other party wins.
It is absurd
