Each woman is different. Take her average menstrual cycle and divide it in half. That number gives you an average of when she's most fertile. Plan on having sex every other day about four days prior and continue for three or more days after. Good luck.

Normally a woman's cycle is about 28 days. Every woman is different. On the 14th day of our cycle, we ovulate, which means our ovary releases an egg to be fertilized. You have 24 hours to fertilize that egg - so it is best to have sex a few day's before ovulation and every other day leading up to it. Sperm can live in the uterus for as long as 72 hours so you have a better chance to "do it" a day before rather than the day of ovulation. 14 days after ovulation we get a period, and you repeat the cycle all over again. Some woman vary in cycle lengths, you can try a BBT chart to try and figure out when your wife ovulates.

generally if a woman has a normal 28day-4week menstrual cycle, she will ovulate approximately 10-14 days after the FRIST day of her last period.
She can check is she is ovulating by charting her temperature every morning before getting out of bed. When her temperature spikes for a 24-48 hour period she is most likely ovulating. this is the time to have sex.
You can also buy ovulation test kits that you pee on and they will tell you yes or no for ovulation.
Or try this website for her to chart her most fertile days for conceiving a baby..

If your wifes cycle is a 28 days one then you should start ovulating at day 14 or around that day. If you are trying to fall pregnant you should start to mark your cycle in a calender and or buy a maybe baby or ovulation kit to help you predict the right time.

You can track your cycle and accurately determine your fertile window... but we can't tell you when you will ovulate and be fertile. You didn't provide any details... such as how long your cycle is from the first red flow until the last day before the next red flow. Go to FertilityFriend and start charting, that will really help you out on finding out your fertile window.

PLEASE remember that not every woman ovulates on day 14. That's a big myth. I second charting your cycles. Buy a basal thermometer and take your temp every a.m., and I also suggest using ovulation predictor strips. A great website to teach you about your fertility: www.fertilityfriend.com
