Hi! I'm 11 weeks and have been throwing up. Nausea sucks, doesn't? My OB recommended: unisom (take half if it knocks you out) with a B6 tablet. It really helped me a lot! I also find sour, tart things help: lemonade, sour popsicles. Gatorade helped me stayed hydrated. My friend recommended taking some powdered jello and mixing it with some water.Take a spoonful and drink it. Since jello is a gelatin and gelatin coats, it may help soothe your stomach. It helped me enough to be able to eat some. Hope some of these help. Good luck!

I am so sorry sweetie, this happened to me with my first pregnancy. Its worse when you cant throw up a little cos you dont get any relief! (with my current pregnancy i was able to throw up, and its much better!!)
I drank copious amounts of cold water and ate a lot of fruit. The acidity in the fruit helped kinda cut through some of the sick feeling. It may not necessarily work for you, but try it anyway. ALso, like others have said, dont leave too long between meals, always make sure you have something to eat.
The other thing that kinda helped was dry crackers and ginger. But for me it eased the nausea but it never fully went away. I hope its different for you love.
Oh and congrats!

There are a few alternitives you can try to help elivate your nausea, feel free to try these:)
Mint Tea,Peach leaf tea,Raspberry Leaf Tea and Ginger are recommended for both morning sickness and sea sickness. Drink ginger tea or "ginger beer", or take ginger capsules (ginger tea with milk and honey will also help raise blood sugar.) Note: do not use excessive amounts of ginger or Raspberry leaf tea and mint tea.
Slippery elm: made into a nutritious gruel, is easily digested. You can also buy slippery elm lozenges to suck on.
Wild yam root tea or tincture in water.
Also sucking on ice cubes made with any of these teas throughout the day may feel better than drinking cups of tea.
Also be sure to Eat small frequent meals with complex carbohydrates. Avoid high fat and junk foods. Eat a protein rich snack before you go to bed. Low blood sugar in the morning can cause morning sickness so eat something before you get out of bed. Drink plenty of liquids(Water) and remember that it may be easier to drink a nutritious broth for some of your meals. Take B complex vitamins, especially vitamin B6.

Eat small frequent meals and healthy snacks. Avoid greasy and spicy foods. Have a light snack before you get out of bed in the morning; saltine crackers are usually recommended. Also, as long as you have no allergies, you can drink chamomille tea; that will also settle nausea. Avoid being around strong smells (although in pregnancy everything smells stronger); but things that normally smell strong, will smell even stronger.

Try eating some Saltines when you feel nauseous...they actually help a lot in terms of settling your stomach.
I had the same trouble, was always nauseous, but I can count the number of times I actually threw up on one hand. Don't worry, once you hit weeks 10-12, it gets WAY better.

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed. I had the same problem. I was nauseous but did not vomit... just felt sick for a couple of weeks straight and I had no appetite. The thing that worked best for me was placing a sprinkle of salt on the palm of my hand, and licking it. It helped with the nausea. Saltines too, and Root beer work well.

i was 7 weeks and felt like crud all day but I did throw up at least once, sometimes 2 times a day.
Your doctor can prescribe a medicine to ease the nausea, or you can try other remedies such as alka seltzer, or certain food you are gonna find may help or worsen the stomach aches. try drinking a sprite or 7 up. Good luck. It's all about trying when you are pregnant and that little baby has control of you for a little while :-)

Jen is right, try different foods like crackers, pretzels, anything light but try to keep something on your stomach at all times, evern if you throw it up, it will feel better then the nausea. If there is soemthing you crave- go out and get it. Try to take things easy and don't get too hot.
