Some yes, like horse and dog racing. Some no, like rooster or dog fighting. If conducted legally, horse and dog racing can be humane and safe. I don't know much about rodeo, but it is probably highly regulated to avoid needless harm to the animals.

Absolutely not. Especially in Rodeos such as bucking broncos, calf roping, bull riding, and one especially is the suicide race in Omak Washington (I do believe it's Omak) where horses are forced to run down a steep embankment falling breaking legs, etc. all for the entertainment of blood thirsty spectators. We pride ourselves that we have left the era of Roman Gladiators. Are we really that far advanced that instead of fellow human beings being deliberately slaughtered, we now are more civilized and using animals instead.
Where are our animal activists when these stampedes and rodeos are being held. Calgary Stampede is another one.

Should humans be forced to perform in circus acts and beaten into submission or should humans be trained to run in track and if unable to win a race frequently be put to death. Should we revert back to the Roman gladiators who fought one another to the death. Then why would it be ok to allow animals to die or be abused strictly for our entertainment..??
The answer to ur question is NO !!
