Ford Mustang convertible
Well, I would love a hybrid if it's a convertible, but they don't make those yet.
The problem is that a new hybrid costs $26,000, and I don't want to pay that much. My current car was used and only cost a few hundred dollars over my trade-in. I love having a paid-off car. I don't want to go into debt for a car, even a hybrid. I have another four years on my car, I think, in terms of mileage and wear. So, right now, I don't see myself getting a hybrid. For what I'd save on gas, I'd more than pay in payments and interest.

1 - 33 year old male
2 - No, global warming is a convenient myth for polititians, but I do want a clean and safe planet. What is important is to use alternative fuels for economy and eliminating polution - but the polar ice caps will be fine, it's us hairless apes that will perish if we don't change our ways.
3 - I just placed a $500 deposit on a $30,000 Aptera (google it. . .er I mean Yahoo it! There is a 12 month waiting list.
It looks like George Jetson's car and can get 330 miles per gallon or really save money and just run it on electric only with a 150 mile daily range. Cost to charge is 50 cents nightly. It's a shoe-in for the automotive X-prize.
Prius owners start cringing now.
4 - Convertible Chrysler Sebring
5 - Yes, once car companies use technology to really improve cars and engines, instead of offering new styling and shapes like the crossover. It's not a car, not an SUV - so what is it? A stubby station wagon, who wants those ugly things?

I am a 60 year old man driving since I am 17--I have heard every excuse to play with the gasoline as we know it--it was the same during the first gas shortage--ethanol---it did not last--it is nothing new now. In New Jersey we oxygenate the fuel in winter to cut emissions--the vapors make people ill-- and cancer can be a result . I drive a Suburban, no hybred for me until EVERYONE else buys one and they actually work--including bringing gas prices down as reported it will do. Early hybreds were aluminum blocks that warped and eventually were discontinued--like the Oldsmobile attempt at auto diesel motors--that was scrapped also in the 80s----look it up---there is no way to change what gas was meant to do.
