Press and PR chief Justine McGuinness charged Gerry and wife Kate £51,000 for 89 days' work.

Her basic fee was £350 a day, making a total of £31,000.

And the rest was made up in overtime payments and expenses - including bar and restaurant bills.

Why the hell do you lot always have to doubt me just because I forgot to include the source : http://www.people.co.uk/news/tm_headline=woman-who-cost-maddie-fund-pound-51k%26method=full%26objectid=19909319%26siteid=93463-name_page.html

Caz - Gerry hasn't sold any shirts off his back to look for his neglected daughter. He is however brilliant at passing round his begging bowl.

Mmmm...well I always thouht Justine was spectacularly incompetant. In some ways its heartening to know that try as they might they are failing to influence the majority of the public. There are still those out there who believe the McCann PR, thankfully these numbers are decreasing.

Most of us are not suprised that the two main suspects in the case are using the fund to generate their own posiive spin on the mounting pile of evidence against them.

Surely action should now be taken to prevent this charade continuing. The fund is not being used as intended.

I personally hope they they will not only be charged for manslaughter but also for serious fraud.

final evening an fairly violent string of thunderstorms blasted their way by southern New England (incredibly right here in Rhode Island). The rain hammered down like bullets, and the streets have been quickly flooded. I undergo in strategies commenting to my spouse relating to the loudness of the pouring rain. The time-honored and astounding lightning alongside with the exploding thunder have been astonishing. It became right into a classic hurricane to video demonstrate previous reruns of the previous Gothic cleansing soap opera "darkish Shadows".

It's a pity that the money wasn't used in a more constructive way to find Madeline. The McCanns seem to be so obsessed with their own public image that Madeline's plight seems to have become a side issue. Why are they so paranoid that they need four top lawyers to defend them when they haven't even been charged with anything.

As far as I know there have been huge fund raising campaigns to find Maddie therefore I wouldn't have thought that these fees have came out of the McCann's pockets but I know if my little girl (if I had one) went missing I would do everything humanly possible to find her and if I had money to throw at the cause then I would do. I know there has been a lot of speculation about the innocence of the McCann's but presuming they are innocent, the emotional roller coaster they would have been through is immense and putting yourself in their shoes - wouldnt you sell the shirt off of your own back to find your daughter and bring her home safely?

She certainly didn't do them any favours arranging the very activities that have drawn so much criticism. Did they get their (oops I mean the fund's) money's worth. No. but we now have a clearer insight as to why the media have been so favourable towards them. They were pickled.

It's often said, "you get what you pay for" all the McCanns got was a piece of dirt vomiting... But then that's what they deserved.. WHAT A WASTE. I would have done it for them, I'm also very good at lying and for only £349 a day

Doesn't seem an unfair amount for someone in her position to charge at all. I'm sure nobody expected her to take it on pro bono.

Just a shame that the McCanns couldn't have done her job themselves like every other parent in their position seems to do.

That is quite disgusting. The money was not donated to fill Ms McGuiness's pockets. I wonder how much the new spokesman costs.

This is disgusting, not necessarily the size of the bill but the fact they are going to pay it out of the fund.
is this allowed? ...is this what the public donated money for?...what exactly did she do to earn this money?

As usual a McCircus!
