I am at the irrational stage of my pregnancy. I hate every name I once liked! I don't know if it's a boy or girl and I want names that are not linked to any major religion. I don't like "trendy" names like Madison, Savanah, Coby, Taylor etc. Any help would be much appreciated!

Its very hard to get non-religious names (especially boys)unless your willing to go really modern because the root of most names is biblical. However...here are some suggestions with their meanings...

Girls...
Amara - greek - 'unfading and eternal'
Jasmine - persian/english for the flower
Zoe - greek - 'Life'
Imogen - Gaelic - 'Maiden'
Zara - arabic - shining; flower
Brooke - english - brooke; stream

Boys....
Ashton - ash grove tree
Jayson - greek - healer
Riley - gaelic - descendant of rodhallach
Ryan - gaelic - king
Sebastian - greek - venerable
Charlie - english - free man

Hope that gives you some ideas. I find this baby site is pretty good for names. best of luck

bob. i was called bob. the nearby priest allowed my parents to christen me bob. on my birth cert is bob. bob is a cool name. you think children would hate it an get teased but most people just look at you normally like a child with any other name. Bob didn't ruin my career either

"Melissa" means literally, "Bee". As in the insect. No religious influence whatsoever.
