Just think, if either Cheney or Limbaugh had been smart enough to get a Rhodes Scholarship they could have used that to avoid the draft instead of having resort to a "trick knee" or "having other priorities."
BTW, Cheney is a pretty good shot, when he's sober..

First and foremost thank you for your service. As with your question, I will have to look into it. You are right, unless there is a legitimate reason, Rush will lose some credibility with me. That being said...it seems that sadly, Politics transcend service. While there are several Reps that question a Dem's service, it is certainly not one-sided. For every quote about Kerry, I can find a similar quote about McCain.

Dick, the "I don't think I can run that far and if i could I'd be really tired" Cheney...
Compare the Rhodes scholar Clinton with the C average Bush and ask yourself who is in college for what.
With the aid of scholarships, Clinton attended the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., receiving a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.) degree in 1968. It was at Georgetown that he interned for Arkansas Senator J. William Fulbright.[10] While in college he became a brother of Alpha Phi Omega and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.[16]
Upon graduation he won a Rhodes Scholarship to University College, Oxford where he studied government.[11] He developed an interest in rugby, playing at Oxford and later for the Little Rock Rugby club in Arkansas.
After Oxford, Clinton attended Yale Law School and obtained a Juris Doctor degree in 1973.
You see, (in answer to the ignorant person below me in a police costume) the Rhodes scolarship was a reward after his graduation from Georgetown,,,Georgetown is a pretty darn good institution, but the reward was to study in Oxford, England...You see to a real intellectual, the chance to burden himself with additional eduation is a joy....and yes he did complet his studies there...not only that, but he completed a law degree at Yale after that....I defy you to compare that to any current Republican in office in the last decade or 2. Clinton is an example of "not sending your brightest stars into a ditch to get blown up in a stupid undeclared war". We need those sort of people to use their minds....Bush is an example of pretty much nothing special.

Cheney's explanation for why he failed to serve--uttered to George C. Wilson of the Washington Post in 1989--was no less obtuse than Quayle's. He said: "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service."
Rush with all his student deferments and his "injured knee" which his old high school coach knew nothing about and his "injured knee". Also he had some cyst near his rear end, which he didn't want to answer the questions about his deferments to Jeff Greenfield(abc) of YM-YHWA in Manhattan.
I say it's a tie

Clinton was with his phony Rhodes scholorship. You know of course the Clinton was among the 1% of Rhodes scholars who didn't graduate? Did you know that he was one of the many democrat draft dodgers pardoned by the anti-semite Carter?

I'll take door number 3. You know, the one Clinton is standing behind. At least Limbaugh and Cheney didn't pull a Hanoi Jane like he did.
